Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that they are going to relaunch the Vahana Mitra scheme on Dasara. In the scheme, they will provide financial support of Rs 15000/- per year to auto rickshaw drivers. In a recent gathering of TDP, BJP and JSP leaders, they organised a Super Six Super hit meeting at Anantapur. Telugu Desam Party announced this scheme on their official Twitter handle, in which they said they are going to give a Dasara gift to auto drivers.

In the Vahana Mitra scheme 2025, the Andhra Pradesh Government give a financial support of Rs 15,000/- per year to each eligible auto driver. After the announcement of the scheme, auto drivers showed their gratitude to CM and Chandrababu Naidu, and they welcomed the scheme. The previous government, YSR Congress, launched this scheme in 2021, under which the day gives Rs 10,000/- annually to auto rickshaw drivers. Now, TDP re-launched the scheme, and they also increased the financial support amount from Rs 10,000/- to 15,000/- annually.

On this Dasara, October 2nd, they are going to launch the scheme for the betterment of Auto rickshaw drivers. Auto rickshaw drivers show their protest when the government launch a free bus travel scheme for women with the name of Stree Shakti on the 15th of August.

With the scheme, 2.90 Lakh auto rickshaw drivers will benefit from the scheme. For this scheme, a Rs 435 crore budget is allotted. Eligibility Criteria

• Andhra Pradesh permanent residents who also own and drive that vehicle are eligible for this scheme.
• Applicant should have a white ration card. The vehicle/licence should be in the name of family members.
• The applicant also has an Aadhaar-linked bank account.
• If any person in the family is in a government job, having property of more than 3 acres of wet and more than 10 acres of dry land is not eligible for the scheme.
• Household electricity consumption is less than 300 units per month.
• If any person owns a 2 Wheeler/4 Wheeler for goods, and families with high assets are not eligible for the scheme.

Benefits Of Scheme

1. In this scheme, now government will give a financial support of Rs 15,000/- per year to auto rickshaw drivers. The TDP government 50% increase from the old scheme.
2. Drivers can use this support amount for their vehicle insurance, fitness, service and repair work.
3. Under the scheme government will cover auto rickshaw drivers, taxis and maxi-cabs.
4. Benefit will be given only to 1 member in the family.
5. 2.90 Lakh drivers will get the benefit of this scheme after relaunch.
6. The government allotted Rs 435 Crore for the implementation of the scheme.

• Recently, this scheme was announced by Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu. Officially, this will be going to start from 2nd October 2025.
• The online registration will start from the official website, and the offline registration can be done by MeeSeva/E-Seva and the community service centre.
• Application forms will be submitted to the Village Secretariat or Ward Officer.
