The Vahana Mitra scheme of Andhra Pradesh is going to launch on Dasara 2025. This is a financial support scheme for Auto Rickshaw, Taxi and Maxi Cab drivers. Under this, eligible drivers will receive Rs 15,000 per year financial support. The registration will start from 17th September and close on 19th September. There is another welfare scheme going to be launched very soon in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The Name of this scheme is Vahana Mitra Scheme 2025, as the same information was announced by the Chief Minister that the State government of Andhra Pradesh is going to launch the Vahana Mitra Scheme on Dasara. Under this scheme, the financial assistance will be given to the autorickshaw drivers of the state.
The financial amount which is given to all the beneficiaries is about Rs 15,000/-. As the Chandra Babu Naidu Government is completing all its super six schemes, it promises. Now the other promise for the autorickshaw driver is going to be fulfilled on the Day of Dasara.
Vahana Mitra Application Form
Previously, the scheme was launched on 1st June 2021 with the name of YSR Vahana Mitra. But now the TDP Government is again going to launch this scheme on1st October 2025, i.e. the day of Dasara. At the time of the YSR Government, the financial aid which is given to the beneficiaries was Rs 10,000/- per year.
But in the new announcement, the amount is Rs 15,000/-, which is going to be given to every auto/taxi driver of the state. They can use the same amount for the insurance policy, repair of their vehicle and getting a fitness certificate, etc. So if you also have your own autorickshaw / Cab or Taxi, then you can also get the benefits under this scheme.
Now the state government of the Andhra Pradesh issue the guidlines to fill the application form, which is filled by the Auto Drivers of the state. Eligible Drivers can get the Application Form from Village and Ward secretraiter From 17th September 2025. At the time of fill this application form, you have to submit your AP Registration certificate of your Auto Rickshaw, with Aadhar Card and Driving Licence. The Last Date of submission of form is 1st October 2025.

The main motive to launch this scheme is to provide financial support, so that they can reduce the burden of the expenses of their vehicle repair or any other requirement that their vehicle requires. After getting this financial aid from the government, they can also increase their income. So all the financially weak taxi/auto rickshaw drivers can avail the benefits of this scheme.
Benefits Of Scheme
The government provide the financial incentive amount of Rs 15,000/- to all the beneficiaries.
They can use the same amount for their vehicle expenses, like insurance policy renewal, fitness certificate of the vehicle, services, etc.
The government reduces the burden on poor drivers about the requirement of the vehicle requirements.
By getting the amount, they are also able to increase their income.
How to receive the Payment?
Under this scheme, the payment of Rs 15,000/- can be given to all individual taxi drivers, autorickshaw drivers who own their vehicles. And the amount is given through the online mode, i.e. using the Bank Transfer, Aadhar Enabled Payment System or DBT Mode. So that amount can be directly transferred or credited to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
In this scheme total 2.90 Lakhs Drivers are going to get benefits and for same government also released the budget of Rs.435 Crore. This time the TDP Government try to provide more financial benefits than the previous government given under this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria
The permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh who have their own and also drive self auto rickshaw and cab, etc.
The benefits of this scheme are only given to one vehicle of the family that is a passenger vehicle.
The vehicle is also in the possession of the owner.
Payment of Rs 15,000/- is also credited only in the bank account of the owner of the vehicle.
You are not added as a beneficiary in any Andhra Pradesh government scheme.
There are no family members of the applicant who are taking the government pension, in a government job, etc.
Is there any person in the family who is a tax taxpayer?
Beneficiaries also have the property of more than 3 Acres in Wet and 10 Acres in Dry Land in their name.
The licence and ownership of the vehicles of different persons is also allowed in the white ration card holder family.
