According to The Times of India, 8500 migrant workers registered for the Shramshree Prakalpa. CM Mamata Banerjee announced the scheme in which they encourage migrant workers of West Bengal to come back home. This is a very big number, 8500 are coming back to their hometown. About This Scheme
This is a rehabilitation Scheme which is launched by the West Bengal State government for the migrant workers of the state. Due to some reasons so many people have gone to other states for work. But they face a lot of problems while staying there. So now Mamata Banerjee wants to provide them with work and financial help in their own state. There are so many other facilities from the already running schemes added in this scheme.

The main motive to launch this scheme is to bring back the migrant workers to their own state. Because the people who are workers and in search of a job when to other states, and so many times they face harassment, deprivation and oppression. So now, with this Shramshree Prakalpa government wants to change the situation of the workers. Now if they come back to the state, they will get the financial help and also a job opportunity, which is according to their skills. It will help them, and they can easily become self-sufficient.
Today, this is just an announcement that has been made by the CM Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal. But she said that very soon the West Bengal government is going to start providing the benefits to the beneficiaries. The scheme is working with the Labour Department of the state.

Training for Skill development
The 2nd benefit which is given to the beneficiaries is that on returning to the state of West Bengal, they will get free training to develop their skills under the already running scheme of the state, i.e. Utkarsh Bangla.
Job Opportunity
The other facilities which is available with this scheme are that the migrant workers also get a Job card under the Karmashree scheme to find a job.
Self-Employment
To become self-employed after returning home, they can also start their own business, and to run the government provides them with loan facilities under different schemes of the state.
