To boost the higher education of the girls of Assam State, Chief Minister of the state, Himanta Biswa Sarma, announced the New scheme with the name of Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme. Under which government do the financial benefits per month serve as financial assistance for the help of girls’ students of the state? The aim of launching this scheme is to increase girls’ enrolment in higher education and also empower the women of the state.
The government also wants to reduce the dropout rate of the girls from the school due to the lack of money and provide them this financial support for higher education. This scheme targets all women who belong to all families who are residing in the Assam State and will be eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme as per their income conditions. Now the Nijut Moina Scheme 2.0 is launching in the month of August, and forms are available from the 6th of August.

Nijut Moina Scheme
There are so many girl students who belong to economically weaker families who are residing in the state of Assam. So due to their income conditions of the family, sometimes they have to drop out their school and discontinue their higher education. Now, to provide financial support to all the girls of the families who are in the low-income category, to continue their higher studies in the state.
In this scheme, financial support will be provided to girls for their education from the Higher Secondary to Post-Graduate level in allgovernment and government-aided institutions of the state. The financial support under this scheme is also different as on the education level of the students.

Objective of Scheme
The objective of the scheme is:
- Encourage all the girls of the state to their higher education and also increase the enrolment of the girls in higher studies.
- It will also reduce the dropout rate from the school of the girls.
- This scheme also decreases the ratio of early age marriage.

Features of Nijut Moina 2.0
- Most of the time of we see that the girls always have to drop out their school after completing their education due to the lack of money and don’t enrol on higher education. To face this issue in the state of Assam, the Government launched this scheme with the name of Assam Mukhyamnatri Nijut Moina 2.0 Scheme.
- In this scheme, the government offer them financial support to continue their higher study and get admission in the government or government-aided school.
- The amount under this scheme is given from the 1st Year of higher education to Post Post-Graduation Degree.
- To avail the benefits of this scheme, every girl has to enrol themselves in a government-aided institution for higher study. This scheme does not apply to private college students.
Nijut Moina Scheme Monthly Payment

NOTE: No incentive will be paid to the girls during the vacations. And the scheme starts providing the benefits from the month of June/July.
Eligibility Criteria
- All the girls students who are residents of Assam State are eligible for this scheme.
- The benefits can be given to them as on their economic status of their families.
- The benefits of this scheme are given if girls enrol themselves in the government and government-aided educational institutions.
- The scheme is providing the benefits to the married girls also who get admission in UG and PG Courses.
Who is not eligible?
This scheme does not apply to all the girls. You should always follow the eligibility conditions of the scheme.
- Married girls except PG and BED Course.
- Girls who are employees.
- High Income group Families.
- Girls who are receiving the benefits from other government schemes.

How to apply for Nijut Moina 2.0 Scheme?
Now the girls who want to avail the benefits of the scheme will have to follow the application procedure given below.
- To avail the benefits of the scheme, the application process is offline, which means you have to submit the form in offline mode.
- The interested girls students can get the application form from the institution.
- After taking the Nijut Moina 2.0 Scheme application form, you have to fill it out and, along with the documents, submit it to the same institution.
- After getting your form, the higher authority of the institution will verify your form along with documents and then upload your information on the portal.
- Once the verification is done, you will get the benefits of the scheme.

After receiving the application form from the students, the Chief Minister of the state also released the first instalment of the monthly Payment of the scheme to the girls’ students. The Payment can be directly credited to the Bank account of the beneficiaries per month. Girls, don’t be confused if you don’t receive a monthly payment during vacation time. Because this scheme does not pay the stipend during vacations.
Monthly Payment can be made through the Monthly DBT System, which is directly credited to the Bank account of the Students.
