To Provide the Housing benefits to the 50% of population of the Goa, Chief Minister Launched Housing Scheme i.e. “Majhi Ghar Scheme”. Scheme is introduced in the presence of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The notification related to this scheme also released for Communidade Land, Program 20 Points and Government Land which is issued to run this scheme.
Once the scheme will get all the legal clearance, then the application form also released and available on the portal. What is Majhe Ghar Scheme?
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant of the Goa launched the affordable and secure housing scheme for the thousands of the Citizen of the state. This scheme is aim to provide the provide the affordable Housing facilities to the 50% population of the state. So after releasing the notification, the thousands of Goans have relief.
As and when the legal formalities related to this scheme is completed, then this scheme is going to be implemented in all over the state and official going to be launched by the Home Minister of India.

Majhi Ghar Scheme : on 17th September Wednesday this Majhi Ghar Scheme is announced by CM of Goa State with aim to provide the affordable and secure Housing facilities to the citizen.
50% Population Covered: In this scheme total 50% of the Population of the Goa State is going to be covered in this scheme.
Launched Soon: As and when the legal formalities of this scheme completed, then scheme going to be launched by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Amended Law: in the recent amended Law of the state government Goa, they allow old house which are constructed over Community Land and government owned property.

20 Point Housing Scheme
AS per the Information given by the Revenue Minister of the Goa State Atanasio Monserrate, that government already started Regularizing Houses allotted in the scheme. In this 20 Point Housing scheme, government allotted 100 Sq Meters plots to every homeless people of the state. But people subsequently sold their plots or some time transferred their plots. But now under this scheme, the ownership of the plots only given to the persons who residing in these houses.

All the permanent citizen of the Goa State.
People who don’t have any house in their name and family members.
The family belongs to Economically Weaker Section.
Scheme is work in Gram Panchayat Level to provide benefits.
Goa Majhi Ghar Scheme Application Process
There is no official notification to launch this scheme is disclosed by the government. But as soon as the legal matter related to the properties of the Goa government settled, then scheme will going to be launched by the Hand of Union Minister of Amit Shah.
At the time of Launching of scheme, the application form for the scheme also available for the citizen.
Majhi Ghar Scheme Launching Date 4th October 2025
Due to some formalities, scheme is still pending. Cm of Goa also issue the guidelines to issue the notification after completing all the legal formalities. As these formalities completed, then scheme is launched by the Home minister. So you need to wait for some time.
NOTE: Finally the officialy date about to launch this scheme is now announced i.e. on 4th October Union Cabinet Minister Amit Shah is going to Launch this Majhe Ghar Scheme and inaugurate infrastructural projects in the presence of Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant.
