To provide Social security to the people of the state, the government of West Bengal launched the new Scheme with the name of Jai Bangla Pension Scheme. This is the umbrella scheme under which various pension schemes have been added by the government of the state of West Bengal. The people who belong to the Weaker section of society will get the pension in this scheme. The aim of launching this scheme is to provide financial assistance in the shape of a monthly pension to people like Old age persons, Widows of the state, Disabled people and other people who belong to the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes of the state.

What is the Jai Bangla Umbrella Pension Scheme?
The state government, before the implementation of this scheme, operated the different pension schemes with different names. But on 1st April 2020, the government launched this Umbrella Scheme under which various pensions schemes were added for different categories of people. This umbrella scheme is launched to operate all category pensions. The department that operates the scheme is the Financial Department of the state. The government, to launch this scheme, has only one motive: to make the process simple and easy for every pension holder.
You just have to fulfil the eligibility criteria for the pension category and then receive the pension amount of Rs 1,000/- per month.

Aim to Launch: Scheme is launched by the state government of West Bengal to protect the financial and social to the citizens of the state.

Under this scheme, every pensioner, according to their category of pension, will receive the monthly Pension.
The monthly Pension amount for this scheme is Rs 1,000/- every month and is credited to their bank account.

By providing the benefits of the scheme, the government also wants to provide social and economic security to the marginal communities of the state.

Eligibility Conditions
All the permanent citizens of the West Bengal state are eligible to participate in the scheme.
The citizens who have been residing in the state of West Bengal for the Last 10 years can also be eligible to apply.
The Old Age Pension Scheme, an applicant who is 60 years or above.
For the Johar and Taposili Bandhu Pension scheme, you belong to the Schedule Tribe and Schedule Caste of the state.
And for other schemes like Widow, Fishermen, etc, you need to fulfil the same eligibility.
