What is Phase II of Disaster Resilient Housing Scheme?
Now this time the 2nd phase of the scheme is running in the state. This new phase of the scheme having the targets of 40,000 new houses are going to be constructed in the total 12 urban district of the state like Chennai, Thoothukudi, Nagapattinam and Cuddalore.
So by giving them these houses, government also wants to create the resilient communities in the state. the houses which are given to these people under the scheme having features like they are durable in heavy wind, in rain and at the time of floods. The design of the houses also included the solar panelsm harvesting system of rain water etc.
Material Use: The material which is use to construct the houses as Bricks, Proof Steel, Water proof cement etc. so that the building of the houses are meet with all safety standard.
Funds: Every building which is construct with this scheme having the cost of Rs.4 to 6 Lakhs. Beneficiaries don’t have to pay for it. So the special benefits is given to the beneficiaries like Female head persons, disabled citizen etc.
