Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme 2025
Apart from other welfare schemes that are started by the government of Tamil Nadu, this is very unique. Because this scheme provides benefits to the male/boy students of the state. The scheme was announced by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin, on 9th August 2024. From the same date, the students who are male and native to this place will start getting the benefits of this scheme.
They start getting the benefits under the schemes once they start their higher education in the state. The amount they received is about Rs 1,000/- per month. This amount is received by the students directly in their bank accounts through the DBT Mode.
Now, like the girls, boys can also pursue their higher education without any kind of worry about the financial difficulties in their families.
Motive to Launch
Like the girl students, the state government also wants to aware the male students of the state towards higher education. Now they can also complete their education without any kind of financial crisis in their families. Because the eligible students will be going to receive the amount of Rs 1000 as financial help under the scheme. All the selected students get the amount directly into their savings account numbers. On 26th September 2025, Chief Minister inagurated the expension of this Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme 2025 under they are provide the Rs.1000 monthly assistance to the male students of state. all that students who are going to college for first year, will recevied this amount. Total 2,65,318 new students are added in this scheme as new beneficiaries.

The amount of Rs 1,000/- will be credited to the bank account through the Direct Benefits Transfer Mode every month.
