The Orunodoi scheme is also known as the name of Arunodoi Scheme, which was launched by the state government of Assam on 2nd October 2020. This scheme is launched to provide financial benefits to the household ladies of the state who are poor. After the announcement of this scheme, more than 24 lakh poor women have been added as beneficiaries of the scheme. While implementing this scheme in the state, women will receive the monthly allowance of Rs 830/-, but later it will be enhanced to Rs 1,000/-. So now, from the same date, all the women beneficiaries will receive such an amount on the first day of every month.
The government targeted the women beneficiaries who are the primary caretakers of the family of the state. Now the amount of Rs 1,000/- will be given to them by crediting the same through the DBT (Direct Benefits Transfer) scheme. In which more than 19.10 Lakhs families will get the benefits.
Orunodoi 3.0 Beneficiary List
To check the beneficiary list, the district-level monitoring Committee works on the same. They followed the strict guidelines of the eligibility criteria and prepared the beneficiary List. The selection of the beneficiary is made at the GP Level (Gaon Panchayat), Village Council Development Committee and Local Body Bases. After the checklist of the eligibility and ineligibility conditions of the above-mentioned committee, the beneficiaries’ list was prepared according to their status.
After checking and verifying the status of the Orunodoi Beneficiaries, the State government of Assam released the selection list on 17th September 2025. In which every selected applicant will receive the same amount directly into their bank account through the DBT Mode.
As this scheme is launched in the Orunodoi Scheme, the Orunodoi 2.0 Scheme, and now latest version of this scheme is Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme, which is officially going to be started from 17th September 2025. Now in this version, every beneficiary woman will receive the amount of Rs 1,250/-. So, to release such an amount to every beneficiary woman government also released the budget of Rs 5,604 Crore, in which now more than 4 Million Families from all over the state are going to receive such benefits. Before the announcement of this scheme, the 2nd Phase of Orunodoi 2.0 was stopped in the month of July 2025.

Features Of Scheme
This scheme is also known as the Poverty Alleviation Scheme and was launched by the state government of Assam.
After releasing the Orunodoi Selection List, more than 19.10 Lakhs women of the Families are receiving the benefits.
As they get the amount of Rs 1,000 per month in their account.
By getting this amount, they can get the Nutrition and take care of their health.
The amount of this scheme is transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries with the Direct Benefits scheme.
As the last version of this scheme stopped in July 2025. But now the concerned department of the scheme is going to launch its new online application process for its new version very soon. Because in this Orunodoi 3.0, every woman will be going to receive the amount of Rs 1,250/- every month. So get ready with the documents required to apply for the scheme.
Orunodoi 3.0 New Updates
The new version of the Orunodoi scheme is going to be launched on 17th September 2025.
The amount of Rs 1,250 will be given per month to the beneficiaries.
Online registration is also going to be available very soon.
All the new ration card holders are also eligible now for this scheme.
Apart from the above, the beneficiaries will receive the Years of Books free of cost.
In the new phase, more than 40 lakh women are going to receive the benefits of this scheme.
Eligibility For the Scheme
All the permanent residents of the Assam state can apply for this scheme.
This scheme only provides the benefits to the women of the families.
The priority is also given to the women who belong to Poor families, dependents, Divorced, and single parents.
The age of the applying women must be between 16 years to 59 years.
Need to submit all the documents to support your eligibility.
Women who are already beneficiaries of Orunodoi 1.0 and 2.0 can also reapply for this scheme.
NOTE: The women who are government employees, Anganwadi, Aasha Workers or any women who have 15 Bighas of land and have four-wheelers in their Name are not eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.

Benefits Of Scheme
As I already told you that every eligible candidate will get the amount of Rs 1,250/- directly into their bank account.
They also get a Free Ration card and are also eligible for Food and Medical benefits.
