To provide the quality of Safety and Security to the women of Tamil Nadu State, Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated the new scheme with the name of Thozhi Scheme. The women which get the benefits are must be working women of the state. In this, all the eligible women will be get the hostels facilities from the side of the government. At the time of making the announcement of this scheme, the three hostels are going to be constructed at St. Thomas Mount, Hosur and having a total cost of Rs.38.15 Crore. In this hostel, a total of 442 working women can easily reside. There are so many other places where the hostels under this Thozhi scheme are going to be constructed, in which more than 2,000 working women can resides. So under this scheme, the government of the state provides safe, affordable and quality of hostel facilities to the women. These all hostels are run by the government Department of the state i.e. Social Welfare and Women development.

Tamil Nadu recently released its Financial budget for the year 2025. At this time, they released the amount of this scheme of is Rs.77 Crore. At the time of making the new information about this scheme is that they instructed the officials the construct of the new 10 hostels under this scheme in the various districts of the Tamil Nadu state like Kanchipuram, Erode, Karur, and Ranipet. And the priority for this scheme is given to the women who belong to the minority communities and the Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, MBC and OBC.

All women who come from other places or outside cities of Tamil Nadu and will find a suitable place for their residence can avail the benefits of this scheme. And these hostels are established by the TNWWHCL ( Tamil Nadu Working Women’s Hostels Corporation Limited).

Now on the home page of the portal, you will get the Book Now link. Click on the same link, the locations of the hostels room available in front of you. You can click on the location and then book the room for you.
